Project Overview

A global launch built around one extraordinary drone.

Voyager Media was commissioned by DJI to direct and produce the official global launch campaign for the Mini 5 Pro — their most advanced compact drone to date, launched in 2025.

Shot across remote international locations with a hand-picked talent cast and a tight production schedule, the campaign needed to prove the Mini 5 Pro could hold its own against far larger cinema rigs.

Objective

Prove that the Mini 5 Pro could produce broadcast-quality footage in the hands of real creators. The campaign had to feel like a film — not a product spec sheet.

Creative Direction

We scouted and cast talent specifically for each location, then shot across remote landscapes on a compressed schedule — every day and every location had to count.

Deliverables

A hero launch film delivered for global distribution — published on DJI's YouTube channel and used as the primary visual content across DJI's official website, including product pages, hero banners, and campaign landing pages.

Cinematic-first thinking Every shot was designed to showcase the Mini 5 Pro's image quality — not explain it. Show, don't tell. No talking heads. No spec lists.

Remote location production We scouted and shot in remote international locations chosen specifically to challenge the drone and reward the viewer — places that felt genuinely unreachable.

Talent casting We hired and directed on-camera talent to bring a human element to the campaign — grounding the aerial spectacle in real people and real experiences.

Tight schedule execution The entire campaign was produced under a compressed timeline across multiple locations — requiring precise logistics, fast decision-making, and zero wasted days on set.
